Escape from the summer heat and get started on preparing for fall projects with our two-hour course on grant writing with Lesley’s own Senior Grants Writer, Marianne Galvin.
In two one-hour sessions, webinar participants will learn the skills needed for writing successful grant proposals. The webinar will focus on the development of project goals, methods, timetables, evaluations, and budgets. Research of potential funders will also be explored through internet databases and through library resources.
Marianne Galvin, Ph.D., has over 25 years of experience as a development officer and professional grant writer. She has raised funds for a wide variety of non-profit institutions, including the New England Deaconess Hospital, Social Justice for Women, Children’s Museum of Boston, USS Constitution Museum, Somerville Historical Preservation Commission, Boston Adult Literacy Fund, and Lesley University.

looking forward to this valuable information.
Will you make available presentation slides and/or recording? Thanks!
Yes, the webinar will be available on http://www.lesleyalumni.org for viewing after the event concludes.
I would really like to attend this webinar, but have a conflict with the days, Would it be possible to view it at another time?
Yes! Please just return to lesleyalumni.org to find the recorded version.
I would also like to attend but have a conflict, and was wondering if it is possible to view both sessions at another time?
Thanks
Definitely! Please just return to lesleyalumni.org to find the recorded version.
I’m so glad it’s a Webinar since I’ll be traveling and would hate to miss something that has the potential to be so helpful!
I think that this would be great but unfortunately I have a conflict with the times. Is it possible to access at a later time the same days?
Hi Judy, yes, the webinars are recorded. Please just return to lesleyalumni.org to find the recorded version.
I am looking forward to this. With funds getting cut for programs in the public school system it is more and more difficult to provide pratical courses that the students will benefit from and really need. I hope to be able to learn to write effective grants so that I can offer at least one course for the students in my high school.
What is the cost?
Hi Marg, our webinars are free
What a great idea! I live in Colorado which is two hours behind Massachusetts. Do I “attend” at 1:00?
Hi Amanda, yes, the webinar is live at 3:00 pm EST so for you that would be 1:00 pm! We look forward to having you participate.
I plan to attend.
I cannot wait to learn how to approach what I believe to be valuable resources.
Very exciting!!
I have meetings scheduled on those days but I look forward to this webinar post July 19th!
Cost involved?
Hi Ella, our webinars are free
Hope you’ll be able to join us.
I have a conflict with the time as well. Would I be able to access the information at a later time?
Hi Bridget, yes, the webinars will be recorded. Please just return to lesleyalumni.org to find the recorded version.
I also have a conflict for the time–can I view it later? Thanks.
Of course, please just return to lesleyalumni.org to find the recorded version.
Thank you for sharing such important informations. I am looking forward to attend.
Evelyne
I am very interested but unable to attend at the times available – can you offer again or allow us to access the taped versions? thanks Beth
Hi Beth, yes, the webinars are recorded. Please just return to lesleyalumni.org to find the recorded version.
The registration form offers a choice of dates to attend: 7/12 or 7/19. When I read the webinar summary, it is recommended that interested parties attend both webinars. Do I understand correctly that one needs to register twice?
On another note, are there hand outs that can be downloaded? Or is this presentation auditory only? (Some of us learn best with lecture (auditory) and handout (visual).
Thanks for your response.
Hi Elizabeth, this is a two part webinar, so yes, you’d register for both. There will be materials to download, but we are still working on the finishing touches, so you’ll get a copy emailed to you tomorrow prior to the live event.
Is it too late to sign up?
I fogot to ask, Do you have to register on the computer you will be using for the webinar?
Hi Marie, you can definitely still register, and you do not need to register on the same computer you use to attend.
Thought I registered for grant writing course but no luck:(
Session 1 of Grant Writing 101 was very concise and helpful. Looking forward to Session 2; wondering if there is a completion certificate available at the end of the next session? Thanks!
I really enjoyed the webnair on grant writing. I thought it was great to attend a “class” right from my desk at work!! I was wondering where to download teh slides from Part II?
Hi Mindie, the webinar will be at noon CA time, 3:00 pm EST. We will be recording it and if you visit http://www.lesleyalumni.org after the event concludes, you’ll be able to view it. We look forward to having you participate.
