Upcoming Grant Opportunities

The PSEG Foundation and the Alliance for New Jersey Environmental Education will award a total of $45,000 in competitive grants to help increase the sustainability of New Jersey communities through the PSEG-ANJEE Learners in Sustainability (PALS) grant program.  Examples of projects that could be funded include teacher institutes sponsored by a nature center or museum, programs introducing pre-service teachers to sustainability and environmental education and high quality science education, or partnerships between non-formal institutions and afterschool programs, environmental or science clubs, or other school-affiliated programs. Grants of $5,000 to $15,000 are available in each of three New Jersey regions. The complete Request for Proposals and the application form are available at the ANJEE Web site.

Siemens Foundation and Discovery Education Launch Fourth Annual Siemens We Can Change the World Challenge for K-12 Students
Teams of K-12 students and their teachers/mentors in the U.S. are invited to enter their innovative ideas to solve environmental problems and compete for more than $250,000 in total prizes…. Deadline: March 15, 2012

Kids In Need Foundation and Elmer’s Products, Inc., Elmer’s Teacher Tool Kit grants ranging from $100 to $500.  The grants will be given to teachers who wish to conduct classroom projects selected from a catalog of more than 500 projects currently in the Kids In Need Guide to Award Winning Projects.   Applications will be available online at http://www.kinf.org/ . This year, approximately 250 grants sponsored by Elmer’s will be provided to teachers nationwide.
