Community Oral History Workshop

Do you know someone who has a great story to tell? Have you ever wanted to interview a closefamily member? Are you working on a researchproject and need some tips on interviewing?
Join Lesley University Archivist, Alyssa Pacy, for a freeworkshop on how to conduct oral history interviews. The workshop will cover an introduction tooral history, interviewing techniques, the use of a digital recorder, andmethods to preserve the recording. Digital recorders will be provided and participants will conduct a shortinterview that day, listen to the recording, and receive practical tips and advice.
This workshop is supported by a generous grant from Mass Humanities. Mass Humanities is the state-based affiliateof the National Endowment for the Humanities(NEH) and supports programs that use history, literature, philosophy, and theother humanitiesdisciplines to enhance and improve civic life throughout the Commonwealth.
